This a version in oils of a small pen and ink sketch of the Eastern approaches to St Kilda done shortly after a return visit there some three years ago. The work is informed by a number of local Orkney landscapes painted recently under the umbrella title of “Consideration of a Landscape’ and brings out the resemblance of the sea to the dips, folds and hollows of a typical Orkney farming landscape…albeit rendered extremely freely.

For UK shipping, the smaller paintings that appear at £150.00/200.00 cost £12.00 for packing and posting and the larger paintings which come in around £350.00/£400.00 cost £15.00 for packing and postage. A tracking method is used.
